Europe’s largest event village, Oslofjord Convention Center in Norway, automated over 30,000 annual bookings and simplified its upselling capabilities by adopting RMS Cloud's Property Management Software (PMS). By streamlining operations, Oslofjord improved staff efficiency, demonstrating the scalability and reliability of RMS Cloud's platform. 

The Challenge

Located in Vestfold, south of Oslo, Oslofjord Convention Center hosts conferences, sports events, and large gatherings year-round, accommodating up to 12,000 guests. This expansive venue features ten hotel buildings, five arenas, a beach area, and various indoor and outdoor co-working spaces. 

Prior to using RMS Cloud, bookings were a manual process with large data sets to be imported —a time-intensive process prone to human error. With temporary staff fluctuating from 300 to 10,000, a lengthy training process on complex systems was a nonstarter. Additionally, the lack of efficient tools hindered their ability to upsell extended stays or add-ons. 

Oslofjord Convention Centre required a smart and intuitive payment provider to support their expansive, multi-use venue.
We don’t have the luxury of spending time training staff on our systems so it was essential that the software we chose was extremely user-friendly. Our team has already reported that RMS Cloud’s PMS is very easy and intuitive to work with.

The Solution

Oslofjord implemented RMS Cloud’s PMS in February 2024, following a rigorous evaluation of 15 vendors.  

All bookings are now automated, saving time, and reducing errors. Staff, including temporary staff, now work on a user-friendly interface for easy adoption and can now offer guests extra services during their stay, improving revenue opportunities.
Reservations at Oslofjord Convention Centre's dedicated accomodation and marina are now powered by RMS Cloud's leading payment solution.

Adopting this new system has given our staff the tools they need to easily sell extras from reception such as an extra night or more towels. Before the implementation of RMS Cloud’s PMS, this was something that was difficult to facilitate. Obviously, we want to make upselling as easy as possible for our team, so this is a huge benefit.
