All it takes is a tap or a glance to pay with Apple Pay

You’re probably thinking, “what does Elizabeth know about hospitality?” From travelling to 13 different countries around the world (and counting), exploring, eating and drinking her way through them, she learned a lot about the pains, the glories and the daily life of the hospitality industry. But some of the most valuable things she learned about hospitality have come directly from businesses and the lifetime hospitality professionals she has the joy of speaking to every day. She loves bringing her knowledge of the SaaS technology space and her curiosity about hospitality market trends and changes and tap into the knowledge she gained from wonderful RMS customers, to write informed content that (hopefully!) resonate with you.

Guests expect to pay the way they already pay for everything else. For millions of them, that means Apple Pay, and with RMS Pay, guests get access across all RMS online payment channels — Booking Engine, Guest Portal, Corporate Portal, and Pay by Link — alongside your RMS Pay terminals.

What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is Apple's digital wallet and payment system, built into iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac. Instead of entering card details, guests authenticate using Face ID or Touch ID. Their actual card number is never shared — a tokenized credential is used for each transaction, processed securely through the payment network.

It's the same card, stored in Apple Wallet, used with a tap or a glance.
