Executive summary

Twin Creeks Marinas is a premiere lakeside destination on Tim’s Ford Lake in Tennessee, offering a mix of luxury accommodation and marina services. But managing both sides of the business with their previous system was difficult,  bookings were disjointed, communication was limited, and guests couldn’t reserve amenities online.

Switching to RMS changed that. With one cloud-based platform, staff gained real-time access to bookings and guest data, while guests could check in, manage their stay, and book activities through a digital guest portal.

When we integrated RMS, it gave me the ability to cross-train employees, and I only had to be fluent in one software platform.

Challenges

With 176 berths and a mix of luxury lakeside accommodations, Twin Creeks Marinas needed a property management solution that could handle both sides of their business: hospitality and marina operations.

  • Their previous system lacked the flexibility to support their diverse offerings or provide a smooth, cloud-based experience for guests.
  • Communication was limited, and the software didn’t offer the transparency or integration needed to keep guests informed and connected.
  • Twin Creeks also wanted to offer online bookings for amenities like boats and jet skis, but their existing setup couldn’t support it. They needed a Property Management System (PMS) with a built-in booking engine that could manage everything in one place, from rooms to recreational rentals, such as boats and jet skis.

RMS gives Twin Creeks full control over their marina and lakeside accommodation operations, with an integrated booking engine and contactless, guest-facing features that enhance the overall experience.

Cloud-based operations: RMS’ cloud-based PMS lets staff manage all operations in one place, with real-time access to bookings and guest data.

Rate manager to automate pricing updates, saving time by removing the need to change rates manually.

Booking engine allows guests to reserve rooms and amenities directly through the Twin Creeks website. This feature has helped reduce OTA dependency and boost direct bookings.

Guest portal gives guests full control over their stay. They can check in and out, update booking details, and communicate with staff.
